i have not given up hope on this. the ideas are still fermenting in my brain though...i'm thinking of making the site less cabo-focused and more focused on all tequilas...tequila education and promotion.
as a result, i might change the name to agavemasters, or something similar. i need to score a good interview for the launch of the site though...i was thinking the guy who owns that restaurant "tequilas" in philly. he recently launched his own brand of tequila, siembra azul. i haven't tried it yet, but am probably going to get a bottle today. be sure to check out that site, they have a nice video on there about their tequila production.
i want the site to be a central spot where you can learn about tequila, find good tequila to try, catch up on the latest tequila news, discuss tequila, etc etc. of course, there will be a cabo bias, because we all know that cabo wabo is the greatest tequila known to mankind and, if used liberally, will cure cancer, achieve world peace and rid the world of famine and manbitches!!!!!

Dude, this is an awsome idea. I'm needing to revamp the old cabo site since we have 1,000's of new photos up. I was getting insane amounts of traffic on the old one and it was just for friends to see the photos.
In other words, we can make this huge. You need to go through with it!

thanks bobbo. yeah, i found a couple sites doing similar things. some of them do it pretty well, some of them are pretty crappy. hopefully agavemasters will do things well. it's all about getting users and spreading the word (something i know the cabomasters excel at). when i have something even RESEMBLING a beta, i will post the news here...
