$80 mil, huh? does sammy really need $80 more mil? i don't really get this deal...but whatever, if i had a tequila business, i'd sell for $1 mil, let alone $80mil!

also, is this for just the tequila (the most important part)? i assume this doesn't include the cantina(s), or any further cabo wabo ventures...like the much-rumored cabo wabo cerveza...

i guess this is also the ultimate "fuck you" to the van dildos...not that they're exactly hurting for money either, but they had their chance (in a number of ways) and blew it (in a number of ways). idiots.

well, the most important part of all of this was omitted from the press release...that being, this officially spells the end of the cabomasters. it is sad to see that part of my life come to an end due to a megamillion dollar faceless business deal that i saw no part of!!! i estimate i have spent approx $5-10k on cabo wabo tequila and related merchandise in the last 3-4 years, making (ex)-lord sammy $80 mil richer. i guess i'm the fucking idiot.

i might have to have a cabo bottle smashing party...i have something like 40-50 empty bottles!

cabomasters update

i have not given up hope on this. the ideas are still fermenting in my brain though...i'm thinking of making the site less cabo-focused and more focused on all tequilas...tequila education and promotion.

as a result, i might change the name to agavemasters, or something similar. i need to score a good interview for the launch of the site though...i was thinking the guy who owns that restaurant "tequilas" in philly. he recently launched his own brand of tequila, siembra azul. i haven't tried it yet, but am probably going to get a bottle today. be sure to check out that site, they have a nice video on there about their tequila production.

i want the site to be a central spot where you can learn about tequila, find good tequila to try, catch up on the latest tequila news, discuss tequila, etc etc. of course, there will be a cabo bias, because we all know that cabo wabo is the greatest tequila known to mankind and, if used liberally, will cure cancer, achieve world peace and rid the world of famine and manbitches!!!!!

my agave plantation

Two years ago around this time, the CaboMistress and I were in our local home depot buying Sammy Knows What for the house and we walked past the garden section. They had some cactii out and other succulents and then I noticed this sad looking thing...but, it was an AGAVE plant! I had to rescue it.

honestly, i thought it would last a couple months and we'd be like "well, that was cool while it lasted, a real life agave plant."

Here's a picture of it:


pretty bad. now, we live in the northeast...not exactly the native climate for agave. It gets about 3 months outside in the sun and heat, but for 9 months out of the year it's inside, gets little sun, even less water, yet this thing is thriving! Lord Sammy works in mysterious ways. Here's a pic of it now:



Now, this is pretty cool, but I'm not sure how much tequila I can make from one agave plant. But, I was looking at it yesterday and noticed that two NEW agave plants had sprouted!

Thank you Lord Sammy!!!! You have given me the opportunity to live out my life long dream of becoming a jimador!
